The Golden State Warriors and Candytopia are partnering on Warriors Hooptopia, an interactive experience at the sports and entertainment district Thrive City.
Warriors Hooptopia, exclusively available at Thrive City, the sports and entertainment district anchored by Chase Center, the Warriors’ new 18,064-seat privately financed sports and entertainment arena in the San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, will bring together the history of the six-time NBA Champion Warriors and imagination of Candytopia to create an innovative basketball-themed experience for guests of all ages.
Through the partnership, Warriors Hooptopia is expected to attract Warriors fans from all over the Bay Area and beyond to experience the life of a Warrior through a fun, playful and interactive experience, providing many real-time photo opportunities to share with friends. Fans will have the opportunity to live out their Warriors dream and experience all of the stages of a Warriors career, from draft day to introductory press conferences to workouts to Championship celebrations and more. Warriors Hooptopia is expected to open at Thrive City this October.
“We think this attraction will be a slam dunk with our fans as we combine the creative genius of Candytopia with our storied history,” said Rick Welts, Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer. “The ability to live and recreate some of these incredible moments – from draining a Stephen Curry-like 3-pointer to celebrating a Warriors’ championship surrounded by falling confetti — will create memories for a lifetime for fans of all ages.”
Candytopia features over a dozen rooms and environments with larger-than-life interactive art installations and full sensory experiences. The marshmallowy mini-theme park launched in 2018 in Santa Monica and has toured throughout the United States, and is currently operating locations in Dallas and Houston.
“We are excited to bring the fan experience to life with a reimaged adventure for every Warriors enthusiast,” said John Goodman, CEO of Candytopia. “We are honored to be joining forces with the Warriors in creating an original, interactive, and up-close opportunity for the fans to live out their dreams of playing for their favorite team.”
Ticket information for Warriors Hooptopia will be announced at a later date.
