Start Off 2020 Ahead of the Curve With These Tech Tips

With the beginning of the hockey and basketball seasons approaching, here’s what is needed to ensure a continued success of technology and future implementations.

First and foremost, connectivity is a good thing to review. Look at the speed of your entire Internet system–the speed of your point of sale, press boxes and fan access quality.

Second, look at your remote POS workstations around the stadium. Review the foot traffic your facility had this season and see if the Internet may require a booster-type of device to speed up the device. This can speed up the lines while allowing your staff to felicitate enhancements to this location.

Third, consider what you would want to implement next season regarding technology and what would it take from a tech perspectiveto accomplish that goal. For example, would you like to add a Fan App, in-seat ordering with some new tablets, or a self-service POS? All these great enhancements may tax your tech infrastructure, so just be aware those additional improvements can slow down your connectivity.

In summary: All these improvements can help the bottom line, improve fan engagement, and create added services. Just be sure to keep pace and stay in tune with the internal networking and connectivity throughout your stadium, arena and venue.
