New for 2010: Rogers Arena

Vancouver CanucksThe home of the Vancouver Canucks has a new name, as communications giant Rogers buys naming rights to the former GM Place.

Toronto-based Rogers Communications, which already broadcasts many Canucks games on its Sportsnet subsidiary, committed to a 10-year naming-rights deal. Terms of the deal were not released.

The deal was somewhat of a corporate coup for Rogers, which has stronger operations in the east than in the west, where Telus has a bigger market share.
