Chase Center Wellness and Sensory Room Unveiled

Chase Center Wellness and Sensory Room

The Golden State Warriors have unveiled a Wellness and Sensory Room at Chase Center, developed in partnership with sensory inclusion training non-profit KultureCity. Beginning immediately, the room will be available for all Warriors home games, Chase Center concerts and special events.

Elements of the Wellness and Sensory Room include:

  • Bubble tubes to stimulate the visual and auditory senses
  • Tactile wall panels that have various activities that stimulate the visual and tactile senses
  • Bean bags to provide proprioceptive and vestibular regulation
  • Room color recommendations to promote overall calming visual environment

In addition to having a dedicated Wellness and Sensory Room, Chase Center provides sensory bags equipped with noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards and weighted lap pads to help with guests experiencing a sensory overload situation. The sensory bags are located at the guest experience kiosks located on the main concourse by Portal 13 and the upper concourse by Portal 52.

To recognize and help with a guest experiencing sensory needs, all full-time Chase Center staff and a majority of part-time staff were trained by KultureCity on how to create the best experience to handle a sensory overload situation. As a result of the training, Chase Center became a Certified Sensory Inclusive venue.
