Can Wichita support two arenas? Wink Hartman thinks so

Hartman moved ahead with the arena in Park City despite the new downtown arena slated to open early next year. He opened it with a bang: Alan Jackson played before a sold-out house, and in general fans seemed pretty happy with the facility.

But will Alan Jackson be in a position to be playing at Hartman Arena a year from now, when the larger and plusher Intrust Bank Arena opens? That remains to be seen. There are not many markets that can support two venues, and we’re guessing Wichita is not one of them.
