The Florida Everblades (ECHL) and Hertz have announced a naming-rights agreement for the team’s home venue, which is now known as Hertz Arena. The agreement entails updating the facility’s interior and exterior with the Estero-based Hertz’s logo and other branded signage. The Hertz Arena name will supplant the venue’s previous identity, Germain Arena.
“Establishing strong roots in Southwest Florida has been very important to us since relocating our world headquarters to Estero in 2015,” said Hertz President and Chief Executive Officer Kathryn Marinello. “So many of our employees and customers live, work and travel here. We’re proud to call Estero our home and committed to making a positive impact in the community, which includes this exciting new partnership with the Everblades and the many special events thousands of people will enjoy at Hertz Arena.”
“The Florida Everblades are extremely pleased to enter into a naming-rights agreement with Hertz,” said Florida Everblades President Craig Brush. “We are about to embark on our third decade in Southwest Florida and to be a partner with such a prestigious company is a dream come true. We look forward to a long-term relationship – one that will allow us to continue to serve the community for years to come.”
In addition to serving as the home of the Everblades for the past 20 years, the approximately 7,000-seat arena hosts hundreds of concerts, entertainment and sporting events each year.
“Hertz is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, marking a new era for our company and iconic brand,” said Hertz Chief Marketing Officer Jodi Allen. “As we continue building our legacy of providing exceptional service and a wide selection of premium vehicles, we’re also enhancing how people experience the Hertz brand. With the addition of several new travel, sports and entertainment partnerships earlier this year, and now through Everblades hockey and the many events hosted at Hertz Arena, we’re able to help people create more memories than ever before.”
