Ontario, CA’s Citizens Business Bank Arena is adding a northern patio, which will extend the main concourse space to provide an indoor/outdoor experience.
“We realized there was a need for more space to accommodate the larger audiences we are now hosting due to the improved show content at Citizens Business Bank Arena.” said Michael K. Krouse, President & CEO. “Now we will have a beautiful new outdoor space for more food and beverage offerings plus an opportunity to enjoy our Southern California evenings before an event or at intermission.” HMC Architects were challenged with the task to match aesthetics of the existing ten-year old venue. In addition to the new patio a new drop off / pick up area was incorporated with the design due to the popularity of ride share and shuttle bus options.
The new patio located on the north side of Citizens Business Bank Arena is set to open within a few weeks. The enclosed patio is roughly 10,000 sq. ft. with a louvered trellis. The Patio will accommodate about 1,200 guests. The mobile bar, under a solid portion of trellis, will have 4-6 point of sales. This will replace and become the new north east entrance point for ticket holders to enter the venue and is conveniently located near the Box Office.
Citizens Business Bank Arena is used for a number of events and is home to several teams. Among the clubs currently using the arena include hockey’s Ontario Reign (AHL), basketball’s Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (NBA Gatorade League), and the Major Arena Soccer League’s Ontario Fury.
