The late Larry Miller — the car dealer whose passion for basketball kept the Jazz in Utah despite the relatively small size of the market — was honored by the team in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
The court at EnergySolutions Arena was renamed the Larry H. Miller Court at EnergySolutions Arena after the Jazz received special dispensation from the commissioner’s office for the move, the first such naming ever in the NBA.
