The only sports tenant left at KeyArena, the Seattle Storm (WNBA) signed a 10-year lease but will need to spend some money on the facility.

The place was pretty much stripped bare after the Seattle SuperSonics (NBA) ownership moved the team to Oklahoma City; courtside seats, clubroom equipment and more were hoisted on the moving trucks and transported south. The deal with the city provides some funding for the installation of new equipment, although the Storm will need to pick up some of the cost.

The Storm decided to stay at KeyArena after looking at other venues in the area, including Comcast Arena in Everett. Once there were three teams inhabiting KeyArena; the Storm are left standing.
