Events at BOK Center have added an extra million dollars to the tax coffers in Tulsa and Oklahoma.
The arena opened in August and since then has hosted concerts by the Eagles, Metallica and Carrie Underwood, as well as five Tulsa Oilers (CHL) games and a five-day circus run. The boost to city, county and state tax coffers is $1,091,515 in increased sales taxes, according to Tulsa World. Over 142,000 attended the events.
