League to mediate Pats’ disputes with arena manager

"We were very concerned to learn of the issues between the Pats and the exhibition and we feel we need to begin a process where the issues that are a concern to both parties are identified," Robison told the Regina Leader-Post. "Regina is such an important market to the Western Hockey League and obviously to this community. Our goal is to ensure we can help in this process by bringing the two parties together. Both parties have committed themselves to that process and as a result we’ll be studying (the issues) very carefully and working with those parties to come up with solutions as quickly as possible."

The issues have to do with the day-to-day management of Evraz Place, as Pats owner Russ Parker and his family have very specific complaints about how the facility is run. In addition, the WHL has further concerns about playing conditions at the facility.
