Toledo’s new downtown arena will have a second tenant: an AF2 team.
Toledo Arena Sports Inc., which also owns and operates baseball’s Toledo Mud Hens and the ECHL’s Toledo Walleyes, will be adding an indoor football team to the mix. The team will begin play in the minor-league AF2 league in the 2010 season, with eight home games on the agenda.
"[We are] pleased to be part of the af2 as an expansion team," said Toledo Arena Sports, Inc., Chairman of the Board Mike Miller in a press release. "We are also excited about expanding professional sports in the community and continuing our mission of being affordable and fun for the entire family."
