Rabobank Arena Upgrades Unveiled

Bakersfield Condors

With the Bakersfield Condors beginning a new season, Rabobank Arena is unveiling a series of upgrades.

Now that the 2017-18 AHL season is underway, the arena is rolling out several additions that should improve the spectator experience for hockey and other events. A new video display was installed, while the venue now offers a wider slate of craft beer options at its Crossbar Craft Beer Pub.

Those enhancements, combined with the new Ice Level Lounge and added food menu options, figure to boost the fan experience on multiple levels. However, Rabobank Arena could be in line for more improvements down the road, with new lounges potentially in the offing. More from 23 ABC News:

For another spot to grab a drink, check out the Ice Level Lounge. It is a standing room area complete with a bar, TVs, and games. But the best part is, the lounge is right on the ice. You can stand and watch the game at the same level as the players. Anyone with a lower level ticket and who is over 21 can enjoy this new space.

Looking forward to next year? Well, General Manager of Rabobank Arena, Steve Eckerson, says they hope to continue adding new lounges and viewing areas for guests. These will possibly be located in the stands where regular seating is already offered. Comfortable seats and tables could replace the old setup to allow for a casual conversational vibe. Steve wants more drinking spots where you can see the playing surface.

The Condors played their home opener on Thursday, and it resulted in a 5-4 victory over the San Antonio Rampage.
