The NBA’s Sacramento Kings will share financial data with a city-commissioned group seeking to put together a financing plan for a new arena, another piece of the puzzle in the funding formula.
ICON Venue Group and a local developer are working on an arena financing plan, and one big chunk of the equation will be to determine how much the Kings are able — as opposed to willing — to contribute to the arena financing. By giving them a look at the financials, they can determine the Kings’ number.
The Kings are in Sacramento for one more season; anything more will be dependent on a new-arena plan. The team has an offer from Anaheim to move to Honda Center.
