With the chance Sears Centre will lapse into foreclosure, Hoffman Estates has arranged interim management from International Facilities Group but warns the arena may be dark for a month or more.
Hoffman Estates is currently negotiation with the Ryan Cos. to take control of the arena, but Ryan officials reportedly told city officials they may shut down the facility on Oct. 1. There are events schedules in the arena after Oct. 1, but organizers of those events have not been warned of a possible shutdown.
