Downtown Jackson Partners and the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District want to hear from arena construction and design firms.The folks in Jackson, Miss. want a new arena; they just want some guidance in how to procure one.
That’s the message after a meeting yesterday between city officials, business leaders and architectural/design firms. The goal is a facility similar to North Little Rock’s Alltel Center, an $85 million facility that hosts 120 events a year. Sports would not be the focus.
