The University of Alaska-Anchorage is back with a scaled-down arena proposal after suffering setbacks in the 2008 Alaska legislative session.

The current proposal is for a 130,000-square-foot, 3,500-seat arena to house all UAA sports except hockey. Future funding would pay for a 110,000-square-foot hockey arena down the road.

More on the proposal from the News-Miner.
