  • 2012: New Orleans, Louisiana Superdome
  • 2013: Atlanta, Georgia Dome
  • 2014: Dallas-Ft. Worth, Cowboys Stadium
  • 2015: Indianapolis, Lucas Oil Stadium
  • 2016: Houston, Reliant Stadium

The most notable presence on the list: the $1.1-billion Dallas Cowboys stadium.

It’s the latest in a series of big wins for the Cowboys. The new stadium will open with the 2009 NFL season and over the course of several years host the 2010 NBA All-Star Game, the 2010-2019 Cotton Bowls, the Big 12 championship in 2009 and 2010, and the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex last hosted a Final Four tourney in 1986 at Reunion Arena.
