Anaheim preparing bid for NBA team

The city of Anaheim and Anaheim Arena Management are mapping out improvements to Honda Center that would bring it up to NBA standards.

These changes aren’t on the fan side, but rather on the back end, with the addition of things like expanded locker rooms, a practice court and enhanced sports-medicine facilities. City officials say these additions — which haven’t been priced out yet — will be key in luring an existing NBA team to the Orange County.

The Los Angeles Clippers formerly played several "home" games at the Arrowhead Pond and considered a permanent move before deciding to stay in Los Angeles. And the owners of the Vancouver Grizzlies looked hard at Anaheim before deciding to move to Memphis.
