JQH Arena starting to take shape

It’s first game is still four moths away but JQH Arena in Springfield, MO is starting to look like a basketball facility.Okay, the place is still a little dusty. Actually, it’s a lot dusty. But there is no question JQH Arena, the soon-to-be home of Missouri State basketball in Springfield, is starting to round into shape. The 11,000 seat facility doesn’t get an official unveiling until Nov. 22 when the Bears’ men’s team takes on Arkansas. But, as this article in the Springfield News-Leader notes, you can get a feel for what the new place will be like.

However, those folks who want to get one last hoop fix at the Hammons Student Center, which has been home to MSU basketball since 1976, will get to do just early in the month. Both the men’s and women’s teams have two exhibition games scheduled there — and both will be strictly general admission seating.
