The new floor design at venerable Gallagher-Iba Arena might look familiar to some people.The more things change, the more they end up being the same. In a nutshell, that describes what is happening at Gallagher-Iba Arena on the Oklahoma State campus.
OSU solicited fan help for the design of a new playing surface for the 70-year old arena, once dubbed the "Madison Square Garden of the Plains." Nearly half of the 14,000 vote submitted went for a simple design reminiscient of the early years of the place. But this one acknowledges Eddie Sutton, the former coach who took the Cowboys to a pair of NCAA Final Four appearances in his 16 years at the helm.
