Plans for the Portland ECHL franchise were first revealed in June, with the name the team contest announced during a Thursday morning during a press conference at the Cross Insurance Arena.
Comcast Spectacor is encouraging interested participants to submit their favorite team name by visiting the team’s website, www.PortlandMaineHockey.com. Entries must be received by Monday, August 14. Comcast Spectacor will post the top five choices on Thursday, August 17, and encourage website visitors to vote on their favorite.
