Lucas County Arena opens in October with a full slate of events, including a Jeff Dunham concert and Toledo Walleye games. Meanwhile, there are reports of an imminent naming-rights deal.
Toledo's Lucas County Arena should get off to a strong start when it opens in October: the first big event there, a Jeff Dunham concert, is almost sold out, and arena officials report strong sales for every event save an Oct. Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Meanwhile, the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) will begin play in October as well.
These may be the final days for the name Lucas County Arena, however: a report in the Toledo Free Press has Huntington Bank buying naming rights to the facility. Stay tuned.
