Proponents of a Germantown (Md.) arena say they're looking at a new site outside the city and elsewhere in Montgomery County .
D&A Sports and Entertainment is working on a 7,000-8,000-seat arena in Maryland's Montgomery County. A previous plan had put the arena on the campus of Montgomery College, but that plan fell through. Instead, D&A officials are looking are looking outside the city for a location. The new arena would be funded by state funds and private investments. Minor-league hockey is a potential tenant for the arena.
