Tulio Arena, which opened in 1983 and is in sore need of a facelift, will benefit from a $42 million renovation project.
Tulio Arena will receive a $42-million facelift if a bonding plan is approved (as expected) tomorrow by the Erie County Council.
The state will pay $32 million, with the county bonding the remaining $10 million.
The arena is home to multiple events and concerts as well as three pro sports teams: the Erie Otters (OHL), the Erie BayHawks (NBA D-League) and Erie River Rats (AIFA).
