As you’ll recall, the Chiefs ownership was at odds with the county over the particulars of a lease and the parameters of a possible management deal with the county. In the end, the county decided to pursue a management deal with a larger firm, causing the Chiefs ownership to threaten a move.
However, the new lease arrangement addresses financial issues, at least for the coming season. The Chiefs will share in concession revenues for the first time; last season Chiefs games generated roughly $300,000 in revenues.
