Future of PrairieThunder to be addressed today

More bad times in minor-league hockey: the future of the Bloomington Prairie Thunder will be announced today.
The future of the Bloomington PrairieThunder (IHL) will be addressed today, as team owners will hold a press conference to address growing speculation the team has been threatened with an eviction from U.S. Cellular Coliseum for unpaid bills.

The PrairieThunder has always been a star-crossed franchise, going through two sets of owners in two years. In the last week a termination letter had been circulated by city officials and Central Illinois Arena Management, the firm running U.S. Cellular Coliseum, after the team allegedly stopped paying its bills. (A default letter already went out in January.) Meanwhile, the team has not had an official GM since Jerry McBurney resigned in mid-January.
