The amenities at Traverse City's Centre I.C.E. are a whole lot better for this fall's Prospects Camp and Detroit Red Wings training, as arena officials today are unveiling several improvements to the facility.

At least three bidders are emerging as potential buyers of the Detroit Pistons and The Palace, as two unnamed groups are expected to tour the arena and view some of the team's financial paperwork; Red Wings owner Mike Ilitch has already expressed his interest.

Flooding on the Skunk River has encompassed Hilton Coliseum, the home of the Iowa State Cyclones, to an eight-foot level, and no doubt there will be considerable damage to the facility once the floodwaters recede.

Detroit Red Wings and Tigers owner Mike Ilitch formally notified Palace Sports and Entertainment of his interest in buying the NBA's Detroit Pistons, adding that he's like to see the team move back downtown to a new arena to be shared with the Wings.
