The Orlando Solar Bears, slated to join the ECHL in the 2012-2013 season, unveiled their logo last night.
The logo, designed by Joe Bosack, features the popular mascot, “Shades,” and consist of the historical teal and purple color scheme.
“A focus group made up of youth hockey players and coaches, past Solar Bears season ticket holders and former Solar Bears employees assisted us as we developed the marks that we will unveil tonight; in both the planning stages and with the final presentation,” said Jason Siegel, President of Orlando Pro Hockey Operations, LP. “The collective focus was to honor the previous mark and update it for the upcoming season.”
The expansion team will play at Orlando’s Amway Center, also the home of the Orlando Magic (NBA).
