Vipers fitting in nicely in new AFL

Alabama Vipers
The Alabama Vipers may not play in a major market, but the Huntsville-based team is managing to fit in well with the economics of the new Arena Football League.

The Vipers play at the Von Braun Center, which has a very limited capacity of 6,200. And the Vipers aren't selling out the place, averaging 4,205 fans per game

If we were talking about the old AFL, the Vipers would be targeted for a move. But the new AFL, with lots of controls on costs (more like the old af2 than the old AFL in most ways), is a place where the small-market Vipers can survive and actually turn a profit.
