There was a lot of grumbling when Sedgwick County officials decided to go ahead with the construction of a new downtown Wichita arena: there wouldn't be enough parking, folks would avoid downtown, etc.
Those fears were somewhat dissipated last night during the inaugural big event at Intrust Bank Arena , with singer Brad Paisley wowing a fill house. Despite the bad weather -- like the rest of the nation, Wichita was socked by unseasonably cold temps -- things went smoothly, with traffic moving efficiently through downtown and everyone finding a parking spot.
